Following a statement of the Holy Metropolis of Austria, and in accordance with the Health Ministry regulations and the Office of Religious Affairs in Austria, the easing of the coronavirus measures regarding church services are in place from the 29th of May. However, sanitary measures must be observed as usual.
The rules are as follows:
– Obligatory calculation of 10 square meters for each individual is abolished, but attendees must keep an appropriate distance from each other of at least 1 metre. The seats will be marked to ensure social distancing and floor markings will help the faithful to maintain the appropriate distance from each other. Individuals who live together are not obliged to keep any distance from each other.
– The wearing of masks is obligatory upon arrival and upon departure from the church. However, the faithful are allowed to take off their masks during a church service.
– Weddings, baptisms and funeral services will be performed. The maximum number of attendees will be 100 people.
