The working sessions of the third day of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy were completed

The third day of the extraordinary meeting of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece was completed with the election of new bishops and auxiliary bishops of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and other metropolises of the Church of Greece and secretaries of the Holy Synod.

According to the announcement of the Holy Synod, Archimandrite Filotheos, former First Secretary-Minutes Recorder of the Holy Synod, was appointed Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod.

In the position of the First Secretary-Minutes Recorder was appointed the former Second Secretary-Minutes Recorder, Archimandrite Ieronymos Karmas.

Archimandrite Dorotheos Paparis was placed in the position of the Second Secretary-Minutes Recorder.

The Holy Synod, after confirming the minutes of yesterday’s meeting, elected Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens under the honorary title Auxiliary Bishop of Euripus, Archimandrite Chrysostomos Panagopoulos.

In addition, Archimandrite Agapios Dritsas was elected Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Metropolis of Corinth, under the title of Auxiliary Bishop of Kehries, while Archimandrite Theoklitos Ntoulias was elected Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Metropolis of Mantineia and Kynouria with the honorary title of Auxiliary Bishop of Tegea.
