The Church of Greece to celebrate solemnly the memory of Apostle Paul

The Church of Greece will celebrate the memory of Saint Paul, Apostle to the Nations and founder of the Church of Greece.

A Great Vespers Service will be held on Friday, June 28, at 19.00, at the Cathedral of Holy Apostle Paul in Corinth, which will be presided by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, with the participation of the members of the Standing Holy Synod and other Metropolitans. Metropolitan Cosmas of Aitolia and Akarnania will give a speech.

On the same day, in the Church of St. Paul on Psara Street in Athens, there will be a Great Vespers Service, officiated by Metropolitan Nicholas of Mesogaia and Lavreotiki. During the Vespers, Archim. Dorotheos Paparis, Second Secretary and Minute taker of the Holy Synod, will speak.

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece will officiate at the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning of the feast, June 29, in the Church of St. Paul on Psara Street in Athens, with the participation of Metropolitans, who are members of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. Metropolitan Hariton of Elasson will give a speech.

In memory of the Areopagus sermon, that is the speech delivered by Apostle Paul in Athens, at the Areopagus, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece will preside over the Great Feast Vespers Service on the afternoon of the same day at 19.00, with the participation of the Metropolitans, who are members of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, hierarchs, clergy, monks and the faithful. During the Vespers, Archim. Grigorios Papathomas, Hierokyrix of the Archdiocese of Athens, will give a speech.
