Synodical Divine Liturgy will take place on March 17, Sunday of Orthodoxy, at the Cathedral of Athens, officiated by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece.

The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on the occasion of the Pan-Orthodox celebration of the restoration of the icons to the churches, which was established in 843 by the Empress Theodora, the son Michael III and Patriarch Methodios I of Constantinople.

Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Patras will deliver the keynote speech for the Triumph oh Orthodoxy.

Priests and deacons of other Orthodox churches will take part in the Divine Liturgy. During the Liturgy, the clergy will triumphantly process around the church, holding icons in memory of the final defeat of iconoclasm and the restoration of the icons.
