Revision of Article 3 was approved by the Parliament

The Hellenic Parliament agreed by 156 votes to amend Article 3 of the Constitution, on religious neutrality.

Following the counting of the votes in the Hellenic Parliament, and after the plenary debate on the constitutional revision, the provisions to be referred to the next parliamentary revision process were defined.

Regarding Article 3 on religious neutrality, 156 Members voted in favor in today’s vote, compared with 151 votes in the previous vote on 14 February.

This means that in the next Parliament, this article will need 180 votes to be revised.
