An event for the Revolution of 1821 is organized by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. More specifically, on Tuesday, March 26, an international scientific conference entitled “War conflicts and places of consecration of the liberation struggle during the Greek Revolution of 1821” will be held at the Synodal Palace of the Church of Greece.
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece will address the meeting, while Metropolitan Ieremias of Gortyn and Megalopolis, Member of the Standing Holy Synod, and Athanasios Karathanasis, Emeritus Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, will be among the rapporteurs.
Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias and Almyros, President of the Special Synodal Committee on Cultural Identity, will address a closing speech.
The event will be co-ordinated by Archimandrite Vartholomaios Antonios – Triantaphyllidis, Secretary of the Special Synodal Committee on Cultural Identity.
