Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa sent congratulatory letters to the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the Greek and Egyptian Foreign Ministers, Nikos Dendias and Sameh Shoukry, for the signing of the agreement on the delimitation of the sea areas between Greece and Egypt.
The Patriarch of Alexandria states the following:
I am proud to welcome the agreement signed by Greece and its friendly neighbour, Egypt, because it shows that the Mediterranean Sea now belongs to those who promote peace.
We pray to the Lord day and night for your health and stability in our country.
May the grace of the Lord be with you all.
Yours faithfully,
† THEODORE II
Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa
