Metropolitans of Konitsa, Piraeus, Kythira and Aitolia call for pan-Orthodox council on Ukrainian autocephaly issue

In a joint letter, Metropolitans Andreas of Konitsa, Seraphim of Piraeus, Seraphim of Kythira and Kosmas of Aitolia call for the convocation of a pan-Orthodox/ecumenical council on the Ukrainian autocephaly issue. The letter was addressed to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the other 13 primates of Patriarchates and Autocephalous Churches.

The four Greek Metropolitans call for the mobilization of Orthodox primates for the Ukrainian autocephaly issue. Metropolitans Andreas of Konitsa, Seraphim of Piraeus, Seraphim of Kythira and Kosmas of Aitolia call for the convocation of a pan-Orthodox council.

However, they disregard the fact that the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, to which they belong, has already decided on this issue barely a month ago. The four Metropolitans, along with Metropolitans Seraphim of Karystia, Germanos of Ilia, Daniel of Kaisairiani and Nikolaos of Mesogaia had various arguments against the recommendation to recognize the Orthodox Church of Ukraine during the meeting of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece.
