Metropolitan Polykarpos of Spain and Portugal have been in his hometown, Nafpaktos, over the past few days, who concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Metropolitan Ierotheos of Nafpaktos on the feast of Saint Paraskevi.
In his sermon, Metropolitan Polykarpos referred to Saint Paraskevi, who is dear to all the residents of Nafpaktos. He also mentioned the desecration of Hagia Sophia saying that we must continue to visit it and kiss its wall for being full of holy relics. He also conveyed the wishes of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Metropolitan Ierotheos and the flock of the local church.
Moreover, Metropolitan Polykarpos thanked the Metropolitan of Nafpaktos for his hospitality during his stay in Nafpaktos, and congratulated him on the canonization of Metropolitan of Edessa, Elder Kallinikos.
After the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Ierotheos thanked the Metropolitan of Spain and all those who helped and organized the feast day.
