Metropolitan Theoklitos of Florina, Prespes and Eordea, expressed his opposite opinion with Father Anastasios, priest of the Holy Temple of Saint Georgios in Florina, regarding the use of a mask inside the Church, recommending to his flock the use of a mask in churches. In his statements to ERT, “the church may be blessed but the corona virus is transmitted from person to person”.
He also pointed out that if Father Anastasios does not abate his cessation will be final from the specific Holy Temple.
It should be reminded that from the 25th of August and after protests of the faithful, Metropolitan Theoklitos of Florina, Prespes and Eordea, had dismissed Father Anastasios from his duties at the Church of Agios Georgios in Florina, giving him a few days off until the turbulence cools down.
