Specifically, at an event of the Missionary Center “Saint Athanasius the Athonite” of St Demetrios Church in Almyros, Metropolitan Ignatios praised the parish of Saint Demetrios, within which the Center operates.
He added: “The Center’s work is a product of inspiration, effort, sacrifice by all those who help.” We will continue, in spite of the attempts that lead to divisions. We reject those divisions. Split means lack of love and communion, trauma, division, which is the worst-case scenario for our people. We will always seek unity, because we have paid dearly for those divisions.”
