Greek govt examines the possibility of mandatory masks in churches

The possibility of making the use of a mask mandatory even in churches was announced today by government spokesman Stelios Petsas during the journalists’ briefing.

Answering a question about the increase of coronavirus cases in urban centers, Mr. Petsas stated that “after the recommendation of experts, the further mandatory use of masks in various indoor spaces is being examined” among them and “in our churches too where we see there is overcrowding again.”

The government spokesman stressed that “we are doing what is necessary to send the message that the enemy is complacency and slackening. That is what we have to fight.”
