Bishop Symeon of Thespies and Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia

Bishop Symeon of Thespies visited the Metropolitan Palace in Nea Ionia, where Metropolitan Gabriel welcomed him in the context of the Educational Seminar for clergy and prospective clerics of the Holy Metropolis of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia, in collaboration with the Pastoral Training Institute (PTI) of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens.

In his speech, Bishop Symeon of Thespies referred to matters of administration and organization of the parish, mentioning the required planning that helps both the proper ministry of the Church and the spiritual development of the people, thereby cultivating the sense of community. Also, while speaking of the existing difficulties in the ecclesiastical administration, he emphasized the important and responsible role of ministry that every clergyman needs to meet for the needs of the faithful.

Finally, Metropolitan Gabriel thanked Bishop Symeon for his comprehensive contribution, referring to the need and importance of educating the clergy in basic concepts and issues that are related to everyday parochial and pastoral action.
