Bishop of Thespies: Loving Christ is a science

At the Holy University Church, at Virgin Mary Kapnikarea Church, the Divine Service was held, presided by Bishop of Thespies, Protosyncellus of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Symeon, assisted by Priests of the Holy Archdiocese.

During the ordination of Vasilios Tsekouras to a deacon, Bishop Symeon said that “the science of Theology and the Science of love of Christ, because to love Jesus is a science, indeed an empirical one based on the experience of Apostle Thomas,  of the Myrrh Bearers (Myroforai) and of the Sacred Saints”.

According to Symeon, “The more we keep silent, the more space we leave God to talk”.

At the end of his sermon, Bishop Symeon wished the newly ordained Deacon to spread the love of God to the whole world”.
