As announced by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, Archimandrite Nikodimos Anagnostopoulos was appointed as Protosyncellus, replacing Bishop Athanasios of Tropaion, “to whom we express the Archdiocese’s and the Archbishop’s gratitude for his many years of service in this most demanding position.”
The new protosyncellus is an academic, a clergyman who has served the Church for twenty-five years and has already proven his fruitful ecclesiastical ministry and possesses extensive administrative experience and consequently, the pertinent knowledge and ability to assume the many responsibilities assigned to him.
The new protosyncellus will officially take up office on March 1, 2020, and will be available for all matters within the framework of his responsibilities regarding the Clergy and the Communities of the Archdiocese.
