The first meeting of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Thyateira was held today at the premises of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Theotokos, SE London, under the pastoral and spiritual care of Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, and the Protosyncellus, Bishop Athanasios of Tropaeou.
Following the opening prayer, Bishop of Tropaeou addressed a short greeting and welcomed the priests who hastened to attend the convocation from all parts of the United Kingdom.
In his presentation, Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira analyzed in detail pastoral, administrative and functional issues related to the proper functioning of the communities of the Archdiocese that are in harmony with the Typikon of the Great Church of Christ in Constantinople. A discussion and an analysis of all the individual issues followed, where all the priests had the opportunity to speak and ask their questions.
The meeting’s work was completed with a meal, courtesy of the hosting community, under the care of its Head Archimandrite Christodoulos Persopoulos.
