Vatican: St. Peter’s Basilica reopens after more than two-month closure

St. Peter’s Basilica, which has been closed since March 10, reopened today at around 10:00 a.m. EEST with precautionary measures required due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reported the AFP.

In the presence of numerous police officers wearing face masks, a few visitors queued up, observing the social distancing rules, to enter the basilica, which is the heart of the Vatican, after having their temperatures taken and disinfected their hands with antiseptic.
