The Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, presided by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, meets today on Wednesday, July 10, at the Patriarchal Church of St. George.
The members of the Holy Synod elected Bishop Chrysostomos of Kyanea, who is also Assistant Bishop of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain as Metropolitan of Heliopolis.
Moreover, the Grand Syncellus Ambrosios was elected Bishop of Evdokia, Assistant Bishop to Metropolitan Sotirios of Pisidia.
