The Metropolitan of Morphou welcomed the reliquary of Saint Mammes

The reliquary of St. Mammes arrived yesterday at the temporary headquarters of the Metropolis of Morphou in Evrychou.

The reliquary was given to Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou by the Protosyncellus of the Metropolis of Morphou, Archimandrite Fotios Ioakim, the officers of the Department of Antiquities, Giorgos Filotheou and Stella Pissaridou, and Maria Pafiti.

Then a thanksgiving prayer to the Trinitarian God for the repatriation of the reliquary was held, and the Metropolitan of Morphou briefly thanked, among others, the people who worked hard for the repatriation of the reliquary.

After the delivery of the the reliquary the believers had the blessing to pay their respects to the sacred relics of the reliquary of: St. Mammes, Apostle Philip, St. Tryphon, St. Michael of Synades, St. Panteleimon (Pantaleon), St. Charalambos, St. Neophytos, St. John Lampadistis and New Martyr Polydoros of Cyprus.
