The Ecumenical Patriarchate was visited by the US Ambassador to Ankara

Today, Monday, June 29, 2020, the US Ambassador to Ankara, David Satterfield, visited the Headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Mr. Satterfield was received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with whom they had a long discussion on issues regarding the life of the Mother Church of Constantinople, the Greek Diaspora, as well as the wider Orthodox flock in Turkey.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the key officers of the U.S. Consulate in Constantinople, Mr. Peter T. Shea and Eric Eggleston. Professor Konstantinos Delikostantis, Archon Teacher of the Genos, Director of the First Patriarchal Office was present at the meeting.
