On Saturday, July 6, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited the summer camps of Princes Islands.
Bartholomew, at the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of the Divine Transfiguration, officiated the Divine Liturgy, at the beginning of this year’s season of the summer camps.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch performed exequies for the benefactor Simeon Siniosoglou and then consecrated the sanctification of the operation of the camp.
The Holy Service was also attended by Metropolitans Elder Dimitrios of Princess Islands and Pavlos of Drama, Archbishop Nektarios of Anthidona, Commissioner of the Holy Sepulcher in Constantinople, Bishop Kyril of Erythres, and the consul of Greece to Constantinople George Gaitanis.
