Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece attended the presentation of the three volume work entitled “The Surgery of the Greeks through the centuries,” on Wednesday afternoon.

The presentation took place in a central hotel in Athens, and former Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis with his wife Natasa Pazaiti, Head of Health Portfolio of New Democracy Party, Vassilis Oikonomou, former Minister of Education and former rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Georgios Babiniotis, politicians, academics and physicians attended the event.

Archimandrite Evdokimos Karakoulakis addressed a greeting on behalf of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

The book was published and is available by the ‘MILITOS – HIGH BOOKS IKE’, in three volumes (1700 pages), in a luxurious form with four-colour images, within a luxurious special case.

This is a multi-collaborative work inspired and edited by Ioannis Bramis, emeritus surgery professor of the University of Athens, and is the first single and complete publication about the history of the surgery of the Greeks, ever published in Greece and internationally.
