The possibility of any criminal offenses committed by the Metropolitan of Morphou during the Divine Liturgy for the feast of Palm Sunday in a church of the community of Peristerona, is being investigated by the Police.

The police spokesman told Alpha Cyprus television that instructions had been given to investigate the matter and stressed that “no one is above the law.” He added that policemen arrived at the church after receiving information that laymen were also present, and discovered ten people in the church.

In addition, according to sigmalive, after the service, Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou stated that “impious police officers, who, however, always respect the Laws of the Presidential and Ministerial decrees, broke into the church. Do you know what this is called in the language of Law? Conflict of loyalties. One loyalty is the Law of God…”

The Metropolitan noted that when the Policeman arrived, he told him “choose what you want to implement, the Law of the State or the Law of Christ?”

“What is the danger to the faithful? Is it some sort of disease that will take us from this temporary life earlier? And if this disease let us be, another one will be waiting for us on the corner. Maybe an accident, or old age, those of us who will mange to get older, and if Bill Gates’ vaccines allow us to grow old,” he also said.
