The Swiss federal government decided today that the faithful of all religions were allowed to visit the places of worship from May 28, thus allowing weddings, baptisms and other religious services to take place.
“Life is returning to normal” and “the Federal Council (the federal government of Swiss Confederation) decided this morning to allow religious services” from May 28, a week earlier than expected, said Swiss Health Minister Alain Berset.
From May 28, the faithful will be able to attend the services and other religious ceremonies collectively, but they will have to guarantee the tracing of the new transmission chains.
The organizer of a celebration must have a guest list that will include the last name, first name and telephone number of all participants. Upon request, that person should forward this list to the authorities to locate and inform the persons allegedly infected. This list should be deleted no later than 14 days.
