The protosyncellus of the Metropolis of Trikki and Stagoi, Archimandrite Alexios Kaninas, was tested positive for Covid-19.
He is the first protosyncellus who was tested along with Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Trikki and Stagoi, since a confirmed case existed in the metropolis, that is a clergyman who had contacted the virus. The protocynsellus was found positive for the coronavirus, while the Metropolitan was found negative.
Archimandrite Alexios Kaninas decided on his own initiative to be quarantined, provided that his symptoms were mild. He also asked all the faithful to meticulously follow the measures and instructions of the Greek State.
