Pope Francis called for dialogue in the Eastern Mediterranean amid escalating tensions between Greece and Turkey over the exploitation of energy resources in the region.
“I follow with concern the tensions in the eastern Mediterranean. I appeal for constructive dialogue and respect for international law in order to resolve the conflicts that threaten the peace of the peoples of that region,” Pope Francis posted on Twiter.
