Ordination of Hierarch Nektarios of Keramos

Bishop Ioan Casian, the Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Canada, participated on Saturday in the ordination of Bartholomew (Mostratos) of Keramos on behalf of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada.

The religious service took place on July 25, 2020, at the Holy Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross in Laval, Quebec, Canada, and was presided over by Archbishop Sotirios of Canada. Also present were Alexander, Bishop of Ottawa, Eastern Canada and Upstate New York, and Irenée, Archbishop of Ottawa and the Archdiocese of Canada (OCA).

At the end of the service, Bishop Ioan Casian congratulated the new hierarch, wishing him blessing from God and pastoral accomplishments in the new calling, also giving him an icon and the volume Orthodox Theology in twentieth century and early twenty-first century published by Basilica Publishing House.
