The Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate elected a new auxiliary bishop to the Metropolis of Belgium.
The new auxiliary bishop under the title of Bishop of Apollonias is Archimandrite Ioakim Archontos who was until now a preacher at the Metropolis of Belgium.
