Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar of the autocephalous Church of Ukraine, was found positive to coronavirus. According to the official website of the Metropolis, Metropolitan Symeon was diagnosed with COVID-19 virus during a planned treatment of chronic disease.
The hierarch of the Church of Ukraine is being treated under the supervision of doctors at a clinic while those who had direct contact with him, as well as employees of the Metropolis and a clergyman of the cathedral, were examined for coronavirus.
The necessary disinfection measures were carried out at the temple facilities.
As the number of cases of coronavirus cases has increased in Ukraine, in general, and in the region in recent days, in particular, the Metropolis of Vinnytsia is urging believers to be careful and comply with quarantine restrictions for the public health protection.
