Member of the Parliament of Magnesia Zeta Makri visited this morning Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece.

“The purpose of the meeting was two-fold,” MP Makri said, noting that “I informed the Archbishop that I am a member of the Constitutional Revision Committee that will discuss, among other things, Article 3”.

As MP Makri stated, “The second reason I asked for the meeting to be expedited was the arable land belonging to the community of Flambouri in my constituency. The Archbishop kindly informed me that he had already consulted with the State to set up a committee under Mr. Gerapetritis, which will deal with property issues. He also said that he will instruct the Holy Synod to bring forward the issue of the properties of the monasteries and of course the separation of the rural areas of the monasteries’ possessions from the urban ones that have high commercial value.”
