The Patriarchate of Jerusalem celebrated on Lazarus’ Saturday, the 11th of April 2020, the miracle of our Lord Jesus Christ: the Raising from the dead of Lazarus, who, according to the Troparion of the feast, was dead for four days.

In Lazarus’ hometown Bethany, at the Nunnery dedicated to Lazarus’ sisters Martha and Mary with the Divine Liturgy by the ministering Priest Archimandrite Epiphanios, with the participation of the Abbess Nun Eupraxia, and the nuns of the Monastery only, due to the restriction measures for the current pandemic.
At the Holy Nunnery opposite the Shrine of the Ascension, where Monk Ahilios is the Caretaker and renovator. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Archimandrite Ananias, and all health and safety measures were also taken.
