The feast of the Holy Trinity in Halki was celebrated with the hope of the reopening the Halki seminary.

Metropolitan of Derkoi, Geron Apostolos, (President of the Ephorate of the Monastery) presided over the Archieratical Divine Liturgy while the Metropolitan of Kydonia Athinagoras (representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate), Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra (Member of the Ephorate of the Monastery), Archbishop Nektarios of Anthedona (Patriarchal Commissioner of the Holy Sepulchre in Constantinople) and the Abbot of the Monastery, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos was prayerfully attending in the altar.

After the Divine Liturgy, a reception was held at the Ceremony Hall of the seminary, where Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia and the President of the Ephorate of the Monastery, Metropolitan of Derkoi, Geron Apostolos, delivered an address.

All the speakers referred to the much-requested reopening of the seminary, which is a vision and hope of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictive measures, the established annual pilgrimage of the graduates of the seminary did not take place this year.
