Greek PM: We celebrate the Dormition of the Theotokos, protecting our life and the health of our neighbor

“This year, August 15th, finds us all at a natural distance from each other. However, we are united as never before,” the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasizes in his message for the Feast of Dormition of the Theotokos, while sending a message of optimism for the following day.

Mitsotakis drew everyone’s attention to dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, saying that we welcome this August 15, ‘Dekapentavgoustos,’ “together but also individually: We wear our mask. We do not crowd. And we follow the instructions of the doctors and the State. We celebrate the Dormition of the Theotokos, protecting our life and the health of our neighbor.”

“With confidence in our strengths, we, Greek men and women, are overcoming difficulties. And we are fighting, with discipline and seriousness, the battle to stay healthy on the path of progress,” the Prime Minister stressed and added: “We are coming back and we are careful! Because a demanding autumn awaits us. But it is up to us to turn it into a spring of prosperity. At the beginning of a new era of hope for the whole country. So, all the best to everyone. With health, strength and responsibility.”
