The Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine, Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, had a meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
According to information, during the Pope’s meeting with the Apostolic Nuncio, the current ecclesiastical and political situation in Ukraine was discussed.
The Pontiff showed great interest and asked Archbishop Claudio to convey his wishes to the new President of Ukraine, V. Zelensky, for the restoration of peace and economic growth.
Regarding the ecclesiastical situation in Ukraine, Pope Francis just expressed his frustration regarding the freezing of the dialogue between the Patriarchs of Moscow and Constantinople.
