The former Minister of Education of Greece, Nikos Filis, said that the Holy Communion must not be offered for the protection of faithful’s health.

Responding to a reporter’s question this morning on Mega TV about whether the Holy Communion should be stopped, the former minister stressed that “since scientists say that the virus is transmitted through saliva and the government says it follows the experts’ instructions, then what else do you want me to tell you?”.

He added that “the German government has decided to forbid the participation of the faithful in the Mystery of Holy Communion. The Church said that they respected the government’s decision, it did not make a fuss.”
