As a contribution to the ongoing fight against humanity’s deadly virus, the Ecumenical Patriarchate has offered the Turkish Government the amount of three hundred thousand (300,000) Turkish liras and the Greek Government 50,000 Euros, mainly for the needs of the homeless, as the Ecumenical Patriarchate specifically states in its communication.
It further emphasizes that “this gesture of the Mother Church is accompanied by her warm prayers to the physician of our souls and bodies, to overcome this great temptation, and for our Lord to lead mankind “to recreation”.
