Feast of Saints Constantine and Helen in Chania

The memory of the Saints Constantine and Helen, Equal-to-Apostles, was celebrated in Lentariana, Chania.

Archbishop Makarios of Australia presided over the Archieratic Divine Liturgy in the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Nea Chora, Chania on the feast day, concelebrated by Metropolitan Damaskinos of Kydonia and Apokoronas.

Metropolitan Damaskinos welcomed the newly elected Archbishop of Australia while stressing his joy at the enthronement of Makarios as Archbishop of Australia.

The Divine Word was proclaimed by the Archbishop of Australia who thanked the Metropolitan, expressing his gratitude to Metropolitan, since he was one of the Hierarchs who voted for him.

Then he referred to the life of the Saints whose memory was celebrated that day.

Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Damaskinos offered an engolpion to the new Archbishop of Australia.

Then, the Holy Icon of the Saints was processed around the Holy Temple.
