The Feast of the Annunciation of the Theotokos was solemnly celebrated at the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Divine Liturgy, which was celebrated today, Wednesday, 25 March, at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Saint Georgios. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Only priests and some laypeople of the Patriarchal Court attended the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. Metropolitans Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Athinagoras of Kydonia, Maximos of Silyvria and Bishop Benjamin of Traleon were also present.
