Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was very touched by the representatives of the monasteries of Mount Athos. “You have a special place in our hearts and we stand by you,” he said referring to the Abbots and the monks. The Holy Community met in Karyes for the departure of the Ecumenical Patriarch, who completed his four-day visit to Mount Athos.
“Fathers of Mount Athos, we love you all. The Ecumenical Patriarch will love you forever. He wants you to stand by him during his struggle in favour of the Orthodox Christian faith. We are all yours and you are all ours. We wish you all the best. Until we meet again, my Brothers, Children of God.”
