Ecumenical Patriarch returned to the Phanar

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew travelled to his birthplace, Imbros, stayed there for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, and returned to the Phanar on Friday morning.

During his visit to Imbros, the Ecumenical Patriarch visited Metropolitan Kirilos of Imbros and Tenedos, the newly elected District Governor of Imbros Ender Faruk Uzunoğlu, and Mayor of Imbros Ünal Çetin, whom he congratulated him for his re-election.

He also visited the kindergarten and elementary school in Agioi Theodoroi (Zeytinli) and high school in the village Agridia (Tepeköy).

He visited for the first time the waterfalls in the area of Marmaros, and visited several chapels on the island.
