Ecumenical Patriarch’s name day celebrated in Sydney

On the occasion of the commemoration of St Apostle Bartholomew, the name day of Head of Orthodoxy, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, at the prompting of the new Archbishop of Australia, Makarios, held an Archieratic festive Divine Liturgy, presided by Bishop Seraphim of Apollonia, at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of Virgin Mary, in Sydney.

The Divine Liturgy was attended by a crowd of believers who rushed to the Cathedral to pray for the Patriarch.

After the Divine Service, there was provided a wonderful dinner at the Hall of the Archdiocese.
