In an interview with the SBS Radio Greek program, Assistant Bishop Seraphim of Apollonias referred to late Archbishop Stylianos.

Assistant Bishop Seraphim expressed his gratitude for what he had learned from Archbishop Stylianos of Australia for 28 years.

“He was my father, my chief, as well as a theologian and a teacher. I must say that he worked a lot. The Archbishop may have been strict, but he offered his love to all the people. We worked together in difficult and enjoyable times. I learned a lot from the Archbishop, I owe him a lifetime gratitude, because I must admit that I matured in my church and spiritual life over those 28 years beside him,” said Assistant Bishop Seraphim of Apollonias in his interview with the SBS Radio Greek program.

Speaking about the work of the late Archbishop, Bishop Seraphim said:

“His legacy is his work. Our institutions, our parishes, our nursing homes and the Theological School which was his greatest love and he gave everything. I think that this was the greatest legacy for the future of the Church of Australia.”
