The Feast of All Saints was solemnly celebrated at the Church of All Saints in Nicosia. Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus presided over the Divine Liturgy, which was concelebrated by Bishop Grigorios of Mesaoria.

The Archbishop preached the Divine Word and referred to the example that All Saints set for us, that is complete devotion to God and to our fellow human beings.

He stressed, “When humans love and are humble, it means that they have all the virtues because love and humility are distinguishable virtues and oppose to the devil. Hence, they are set free from their earthly bonds. Love is God, and when humans show genuine love, it means that God himself dwells within them. The fruits of the Holy Spirit manifest themselves in their life filled with love. That is why humans must focus on their struggle, that is on love.”

He added, “Among God’s plans was the incarnation of His Son and His act of self-sacrifice. The union with God will happen as long we have Christ and the Holy Spirit within us and as long as we participate in the life of the Church. The gifts of God begun to manifest upon the life of our saints, which they are now enjoying in Heaven. Their objective, while they were on Earth, was to become saints and they succeeded in doing so. They lived their lives by having Christ in their mind and they entered His Kingdom, which was created for humans only.”
