Asked by journalists to comment on the decision by the Ministry of Education regarding the celebration of the Three Holy Hierarchs, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece stressed, “They did what needs to be done.”
He added, “All the rest is just idle chit-chat and cop-outs. The holiday is for the lazy.” The Archbishop also said that the Three Holy Hierarchs’ Day was a school celebration, during which children would attend events, go to the church and attend classes according to their school schedule.
