Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece presented the new Protosyncellus, Archimandrite Varnavas Theocharis, to his associates and the officers of the Archdiocese of Athens.

The event took place today in the presence of Metropolitan Athinagoras of Ilion, Acharnes and Petroupoli and Metropolitan Symeon of Fthiotida.

The Archbishop wished Father Varnavas strength and patience, stressing that the pastoral work has many aspects of pastoral offerings with distress and impasse. He pointed out that the new Protosyncellus was his personal choice, noting that we will cooperate with faith in the work of the Church.

Afterwards, Father Varnavas thanked the Archbishop for this honor and wished to be worthy of his love because “it is a great and high-level work” while stressing that “I do my best to serve you and the Church.”
