Archbishop Ieronymos in Holy Monastery of Saint Theodore

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece and Metropolitan Georgios of Thebes and Livadeia attended the celebration of Vespers Service as well as the Service of the Rejoicings to the Theotokos (Chairetismoi ) on the first Friday of Great Lent at the Monastery of Saint Theodore in Boeotia.

In the morning, Metropolitan George of Thebes concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens. The Metropolitan of Thebes in his brief homily referred to all the faithful who came “on this rock to honour Great Martyr Theodore.” He also referred to national issues, the refugee problem, and the coronavirus outbreak, which are some of the major concerns of the Greek people. He also thanked the Archbishop for visiting the border area of Greece and praised the Greeks for having shown “solidarity and unity in order to overcome the threat.” Finally, he urged them to carry on their efforts courageously.
