On the occasion of the ceremonies for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day that took place yesterday in Athens, the Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece made the following statement:
“The desecration and vandalism of Synagogues, Jewish Cemeteries and Holocaust Memorials are hideous acts that brutally offend our history, culture, nation and faith. The condemnation of these hideous and criminal acts must be unanimous without any ifs or buts. The condemnation is explicit, unequivocal and clear.”
