Archbishop Ieronymos: Grief and sorrow for the loss of hundreds of our fellow men in Sri Lanka

Archbishop Ieronymos of Greece

Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece expressed his grief and sorrow for the terrorist attacks that occurred on the day of the Catholic Easter celebration in churches and hotels in the wider region of Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo.

“I feel deep sorrow and immense grief for the unfortunate loss of hundreds of our fellow men in Sri Lanka on the day of the Catholic Easter celebration. When people’s hearts are ‘armed’ by hatred and religious fanaticism, wherever it comes from, then our world turns into hell on Earth with acts of untold and blind violence.

I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will give rest to the souls of the victims and consolation to their relatives,” he said.
