Archbishop Sotirios of Canada issued an announcement regarding the coronavirus outbreak. As he points out, he has not made any comment so far because he was waiting for the actions of the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
Following the announcement issued yesterday by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Archbishop of Canada urged the faithful to follow the instructions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Beloved in the Lord,
I am sure all of you are thinking about the problem of coronavirus. I have not made any comment so far because I waited for the announcement by our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on this issue. Today I received the communiqué which, with great respect to our Ecumenical Patriarchate and to all Christians, I communicate while urging everybody to follow these prudent instructions.
I pray that God will soon end our trial. Please continue observing the Great Lent with faith and devotion so that you may enjoy spiritual upliftment and with health and joy we may all arrive to participate in the Holy Passions of Christ and celebrate His Resurrection.
