Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus completes 41 years of archieratic ministration and contribution, today, February 26.

The events in honour of the Primate of the Church of Cyprus took place on the morning of Tuesday, February 26, at the Holy Synod of the Holy Archdiocese of Cyprus, where apart from the clerics of the Archbishopric, four Greek archpriests from the border area of Thrace, the Metropolitans Panteleimon of Xanthi and Peritheorion, Anthimos of Alexandroupolis, Damaskinos of Didymoteichon, and Panteleimon of Maroneia and Komotini, also attended.

Archbishop Chrysostomos expressed his gratitude and glorified God for what He offers to all of us, and without Whom, as he said, we can not do anything. And for this reason, Archbishop Chrysostomos continued, “we, the clerics, owe to offer love to our people, despite their reluctance towards us.”

The main speaker of the meeting was the Professor of the Theological School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Michael Tritos. At the end of the event, a reception was held for all the participants and the staff.
